SERVICES
1. TUNING
We tune pianos at the American standard of A440 unless otherwise asked. This is performed with tuning forks and electronic tuners for accuracy. The final judge is always the ear and is always more dependable than any device. Machines don't hear the nuances found in pianos as well as we do!
2. PITCH RAISES/LOWERING
Pitch raises are always performed with the help of an electronic tuner to insure that the piano will settle at the correct pitch. Once this is done the piano is tuned again for accuracy. The process takes a bit longer than just a standard tuning but may be neccessary if the piano hasn't been tuned in over a year.
3. REPAIRS
Repairs on a piano can run the gammut from a simple adjustment to some serious and costly replacement of parts. Before any repairs are performed, we will inform you of all your options and projected costs.
4.VOICING
Voicing is the process by which the hammers inside the piano are softened or hardened so that all the notes sound even in volume and brightness.
5. REGULATION
Regulation is the process that basically makes the action in your piano work at it's best . It can involve regulating the entire action or just one key depending on the needs of the piano.
6. DAMP CHASER HUMIDIFYING CONTROL SYSTEMS
The Installation of these piano life extending systems is a specialty and is highly recommended if you own a high quality instrument. These devices help save the piano structure from warping, cracking, swelling, rusting and as an added benefit, keeps the piano tuning more stable. You will still need to have your piano tuned on a regular basis (at least every 6 months after the initial 2-4 tunings after installation) but the tunings will be more stable and less eratic making for a much more healthy and pleasant sounding instrument.
7. FENDER RHODES and Other ELECTRIC PIANOS
We can also tune and repair Fender Rhodes Electric Pianos
